Burnt Point Lodge Map
Whitney found this map in the attic about two years ago. He was delighted, because it confirmed many of his taller tales that we found so hard to believe. We’re not sure who drew it or when, but we do know they had an eye for beauty and a seemingly insatiable appetite for collecting some of the more obscure gems of local lore, history, and bushcraft. Among many other things, the map records where the name “Burnt Point” came from, the story of the lodge, the original recipe for the famous Burnt Point Sour, plus stories about legengary characters like “Mad Dog” Carney, Evy Solomon, and “Galloping” Dan Goldberg. It covers the entire area of Wolfpine Lake from Graeber’s Landing to Tartan Lake.
We commissioned a limited run of 100 reproduction prints. Printed on 100 lb. gloss cover paper and ready to frame. Taggart has signed and numbered each one. We will ship them to you in a protective tube to ensure it arrives safely.
