One of the first maps of Yosemite

Posted on June 30 2018, by Gladys Breckenridge

Yosemite Park may be the most beautiful park in America. This detailed map (right click to enlarge) was drafted in 1897 and is one of the first drawn of the region. You can see the Half Dome, the beginnings of Yosemite village, El Capitan, and small winding track up into the highlands.
