Deep into the Grand Canyon

Posted on July 02 2018, by Dave Vail

The effort that went into making this map must have been incredible. We found this copy in the USGS archives, and it is very yellow and tattered with age. But you can still see the trails to the canyon edge and the deep valley (right click for a closer view). This was printed just a few years after the explorer Major John Wesley Powell gave it the name "Grand Canyon".

If you would like a copy, we sell it in paper.
